Privacy Policy

OneByteZ (“OneByteZ”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an independent game studio. We design and build our own games and publish them on mobile app stores.

This policy applies to this website, onebytez.com. It does not cover our games — see section 06.

This site has no accounts, no logins and no shop. There are exactly two ways information reaches us:

• What you type into the contact form — your name, your email address, the subject you pick, and your message. Nothing else on the page is recorded.
• Ordinary server logs — our hosting provider records things like your IP address, browser and the page requested, which is how any web server keeps a site available and secure.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels or third-party analytics on this website. This site sets no cookies of its own. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone for marketing.

Only to reply to you and to keep the site running. Concretely: to answer your message, to keep a record of that conversation, and to keep the website available and protected from abuse.

We will not add you to a mailing list because you used the contact form.

Running a website means a few companies necessarily handle data on our behalf:

• Our hosting provider, which serves the site and keeps the server logs described above.
• Our form provider, which receives the contact form submission and delivers it to us by email.
• Our email provider, which stores the resulting message in our inbox.

Each of them handles the data only to provide that service. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Beyond that, we share nothing.

Contact messages stay in our inbox for as long as they are useful for the conversation and our records, and are deleted when you ask us to. Server logs are short-lived and rotate automatically.

The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to a minimum, which is the most effective protection available.

Our games run on your device, not on this website, and each one collects its own data. Every game has its own privacy policy, which is the one that applies when you play it — and it is the policy linked from that game’s store listing.

Installing a game from an app store also involves that store, which has its own privacy policy covering the download itself.

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through it. Age ratings and audience information for each game are shown on that game’s store listing.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because this website holds so little, that is usually as simple as us deleting an email thread. Email us and we will do it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We will honour those requests.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
