GiftNest — Privacy Policy

GiftNest uses a secure cloud backend so your wish lists sync across devices and you can share them and run Secret Santa with friends. We collect the account and content data needed to do that, never sell your personal data, and let you delete your account and data at any time from inside the app.

• Account — an email address if you sign up with email or Google. You can also use GiftNest as a guest (an anonymous account with no email).
• Profile — a username, optional display name, optional phone number, and avatar.
• Your content — the wish lists, wishes (titles, links, prices, notes), and Secret Santa groups you create.

• Contacts (optional) — if you grant permission, GiftNest reads your contacts on your device to find friends already using the app. Matching is used to connect you with existing users; we do not upload or sell your address book.
• Notifications — a device push token so we can send friend requests, reservations, reminders, and price-drop alerts.
• Basic technical data needed to operate the app reliably.

To run your account and lists, connect you with friends, send the notifications above, track price drops on items you add, provide Premium features, and keep the service secure.

We use trusted processors to run GiftNest:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting for your account and content.
• Google — Sign-in and Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications).
• Google Play & RevenueCat — to process and manage Premium subscriptions.
• Price tracking — when you add a product link, we fetch that public page on our servers to read its current price.

We do not sell your personal data. Wish lists and groups are visible only to people you share them with or invite. Reservations are kept secret from the list owner so gifts stay a surprise, and in Secret Santa nobody can see who is assigned to whom.

GiftNest Premium is processed through Google Play Billing, managed via RevenueCat. We never see your payment method or card details — Google provides only an anonymous confirmation of a valid purchase. Google’s handling of payment data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, wish lists, groups, and friends from our backend. You can also clear cached images from Settings → Memory.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and protected by row-level security, so users can only access data they are permitted to see.

GiftNest is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

You can access and correct your profile in the app and delete your account and all associated data at any time. For other requests, contact rakul0agn@gmail.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
