LockBox — Terms & Conditions
These Terms govern your use of the LockBox mobile application (the “App”), published by RakulAgn (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use LockBox on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business use.
You may not:
- Resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent allowed by applicable law
- Remove or alter proprietary notices or trademarks in the App
- Use the App to violate any applicable law or third-party right
Your Responsibility for Your Data
LockBox is a local-first password manager. Your vault is stored on your device and is only backed up to your own Google Drive if you explicitly choose to enable cloud backup.
You are solely responsible for:
- Remembering your PIN. We cannot recover it — the encryption is designed so that nobody (including us) can decrypt your vault without your PIN.
- Maintaining your Google account, which is required to use cloud backup.
- Keeping separate backups of any data you consider critical.
We strongly recommend writing down your PIN and storing it somewhere safe outside the app. If you lose your PIN and uninstall the app, your vault is unrecoverable by design.
Premium Subscriptions and Lifetime Purchase
LockBox offers optional premium features through Google Play Billing:
- Monthly subscription — auto-renews every month until cancelled
- Yearly subscription — auto-renews every year until cancelled
- Lifetime purchase — a single, non-refundable payment that unlocks premium features permanently for the Google account that made the purchase
All payments are processed by Google Play. Prices are displayed in your local currency and include applicable taxes as determined by Google Play.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Google Play account settings.
Refunds
All refund requests are handled by Google Play according to their refund policy (support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637). We do not process refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact Google Play support.
Availability and Updates
We strive to keep the App available and working correctly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may release updates from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or improve security. Some updates may be required to keep using premium features.
Third-Party Services
LockBox relies on services provided by Google (Sign-In, Drive, Play Billing) and HaveIBeenPwned (optional breach monitoring). Your use of those services is also subject to the terms of the respective providers. We are not responsible for downtime, bugs, or policy changes on those third-party services.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property in the App — including source code, design, graphics, and the LockBox name — is owned by the Developer. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
While LockBox uses AES-256 encryption and industry-standard security practices, no software is completely secure. We make no guarantees against any specific attack, data loss, or unauthorised access.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US THROUGH GOOGLE PLAY IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR, IF NO PAYMENT WAS MADE, FIFTY US DOLLARS (US$50).
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to premium features if you breach these Terms or if payment for a subscription fails. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including the Intellectual Property, Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law sections) will survive.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. Users located in jurisdictions with mandatory consumer-protection laws retain any rights granted by those laws that cannot be waived by contract.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App’s release notes on the Play Store. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
