ImpulseShift — Terms & Conditions

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use ImpulseShift on devices you own or control, for your own personal use.

You may not:

• Resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent allowed by law
• Remove or alter proprietary notices or trademarks in the App
• Use the App to violate any applicable law or third-party right

ImpulseShift is a mindfulness aid that adds a short, intentional pause before you open certain apps. It is not a guaranteed content blocker or parental-control system. It relies on Android’s Usage Access and system behavior, which can vary by device, OS version, and battery settings, and it may not intercept every launch. You remain responsible for your own app usage and screen-time choices.

ImpulseShift offers an optional one-time “Pro” unlock — a non-consumable lifetime purchase — through Google Play Billing. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play in your local currency, including applicable taxes. The unlock is tied to the Google account that made the purchase and can be restored on that account. The free tier remains usable without any purchase.

All refund requests are handled by Google Play according to their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.

We strive to keep the App working correctly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may release updates to add features, fix bugs, or adapt to changes in Android.

ImpulseShift uses Google Play Billing for the optional Pro purchase; your use of Google Play is subject to Google’s terms. ImpulseShift is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, TikTok, X, Meta, ByteDance, or any other app it can be configured to guard. All such names and logos belong to their respective owners.

All intellectual property in the App — including source code, design, and the ImpulseShift name — is owned by the Developer. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App.

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT IT WILL INTERCEPT ANY PARTICULAR APP LAUNCH OR ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR REDUCTION IN YOUR SCREEN TIME. USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US THROUGH GOOGLE PLAY IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR, IF NO PAYMENT WAS MADE, FIFTY US DOLLARS (US$50).

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access to Pro features if you breach these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your jurisdiction are unaffected.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
